Low Sizergh barn

Visitors to the farm are greeted by the farm shop, tea room and gallery. The shop is housed in a Westmorland stone barn dating from the 1700s. The real-life farm trail starts from here.

  • The shop includes a huge range of specialty foods, from local cheeses to fell-raised lamb and the farm’s organic eggs. Crafts are available in the old cow 'shippon' (shed) beneath

  • The tea room has an ever-changing menu made from local food. Arrive at around 3:45pm to see the cows being milked through the large window.

» WHAT’S A SHIPPON?

Shippon is another word for a cow-shed.
