Many small streams and tributaries run off the mountain and combine to form three larger rivers: Afon Cwm Llan, Afon Merch and Afon Gorsen. Afon Cwm Llan tumbles over a spectacular waterfall as it runs down the mountain and a stone clapper bridge (see photo) crosses the river at this point.
