Organic cattle

The farm has a herd of 35 'suckler' cows that graze the clover-rich organic pastures. All the animals are finished on the farm and sold to supermarket outlets.

» SUCKLER HERDS

In a suckler herd the calves suckle their mothers until they are weaned (brought off their mothers' milk to feed on grass) at around nine-ten months old.
